Amy Auker – The Hempress

 

‘Why I started The Hempress UK… I worked in the food industry as a food technologist before my mental health suffered and I begun to look for ways to cope, without nasty side effects. My first stop was essential oils, and I quickly became obsessed, and before long I had a cupboard full! I then went on to have my little girl who is now 3. I was following a Canadian lady on Instagram and I’d see these CBD bath bombs on her instagram page that she’d bring back from various markets and the benefits she said they had. I couldn’t find any in the UK so I thought I would give it a go myself. I just felt this instant connection like this creativity had always been there waiting to be released. I found they helped me massively.  I love having a bath but this was something else! I started handing them out to friends family and anyone who would take one really, and the feedback was amazing. I figured this was what I should be doing and The Hempress was born. When I see them helping others it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, I just love it.’

He is contributing to normalising the use of the plant, for its health benefits. He is authentically vegan, and his mastery over each ingredient used in his dishes comes from a deep understanding of how it can be used to bring out its’ positive attributes in the dish.

He can and does turn carnivores vegan without uttering a single word. The power is in his hands and his culinary creations. His passion, creativity, and energy is phenomenal, to the point that it feels as though it’s that which infuses the food you eat.
